About Us
We are located in Roslyn, New York, where Shelter Rock Road, Searingtown Road and Herricks Road intersect. We have a community of people united in the desire to establish an authentic, intellectually and emotionally satisfying Jewish community for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren, as well as for our guests. We offer a full range of religious services, including morning minyan on Torah reading days. We have an interesting program of Adult Education, a very hospitable Sisterhood and a Men’s Club. These groups bring together our congregation for fellowship and various mitzvah projects. Shelter Rock Jewish Center is a wonderful, warm, welcoming community that enjoys singing and one that understands that music is one of the great gateways to spiritual growth and development. We are a proud member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and we even have our own prayer book, Siddur Tzur Yisrael, that reflects the spiritual ideals of our community. We invite you to visit and sample the vibrancy of Jewish life as we have established and in this community. Come visit and see what we are all about.
